am Alyce - pronounced A-leese and I’m a lot of things; daughter, wife, mother, cousin, friend, business owner, and they have all shaped me into the woman I am today.

Q: Is there a collection?

A: Yes!

I feel like the biggest concerns with hiring any photographer is the connection you seek to ensure things aren’t awkward & this doesn’t show in your images. The communication leading up to the day, I had no questions that were unanswered. The whole process was EASY, Alyce was professional, knowledgeable & put me at ease thought the whole process

I was hesitant with having my body and certain aspects of my body *exposed* as it is something I have never had to reveal in front of someone. Leading up to the session there was lots of contact and Alyce helped ease the nerves by explaining what will be happening in the session and by complimenting me. Alyce’s lovely personality and vibrant vibe made me feel at ease and not judged at all. Alyce is welcoming and calm throughout the whole shoot – the little sign made me feel welcomed. Her photos are amazing, the experience is amazing – you’ll walk away feeling more confident and better about yourself – 1000% recommend.

I was hesitant that the session would be to sexual in natural and due to not having much experience in front of the camera that I’d look awkward or uncomfortable. However the finished products were beyond my imagination!!! My hesitations were eased by seeing her previous clients that is was very class and all about capturing the beauty of the body and celebrating it! The images while being sexy were not overly sexualised. Alyce was so lovely and helped me step through all the different poses and seeing sample images helped to demonstrate what her vision was, which matched mine. I would recommend her to others for a boudoir session.

Totally recommend! She is a master. I was blown away at how she made it so easy and the end result based on minimal props. Her genuine and kind nature would make the most nervous person feel at ease, and the outcome and the presentation of it was just the icing on the cake, it really was such a personal experience.

I was a bit nervous about doing a photoshoot while on my period and how I'd feel about my body. Plus meeting someone new for the first time and being in such a vulnerable state. Always ensuring that I was okay and didn't rush through the process of the shoot. I loved seeing some of the photos as we did the shoot. It helped my confidence. Alyce fixed my hair or straps to ensure I looked my best which made me feel good. It's an amazing experience of feeling vulnerable and gorgeous at the same time. Alyce helped me feel amazing in my body with having a light setting photoshoot, which brought the focus on you.

Common FAQs

Q: Do you share my images?

A: My number one priority is ensuring my clients are comfortable, especially for a boudoir session. These sessions are intimate and you may only want these for yourself (or a partner) and that is completely ok. If there are any photos that I would like to share, I will ask your permission first, and only share what you are comfortable with!

Q: DO I have to wear lingerie?

A: Not at all! These sessions are for you to feel amazing, and if that's a big cozy knit, a slip, oversized-shirt that's what I want you to wear. Bring 2-3 outfits for your session. You may start off with an oversized shirt over lingerie, and as you feel more comfortable in the session look to remove. You can always be covered by a sheet to imply nudity without actually being the nude.

Q: Do you have payment plans?

A: Yes I offer pre-payment plan options. There is a booking fee to reserve your session. The fee reserves your date and allows me to book the hair and make up artist for your session. It also covers the consultation, photo shoot and studio time. I only photograph one client a day so keeping your date is very important. The booking fee does not include any images or products. After the shoot we'll break for an hour, then you'll return to the studio for your gorgeous reveal of about 100 fully retouched images. This is when you're choose your favourites photos.

Pre-payment plans work like a layby, you pay regular amounts towards your order leading up to your session. Then at the reveal, you'll pay any difference, or get back the money you didn't use - no pressure. Whatever suits you best.

All orders and payments are finalised during your ordering appointment.

Q: Is hair and make up included?

A: YES! Hair and make up is included in all boudoir sessions. This includes professional hair and make up with eyelashes by an experienced artist. I think it's really important for you to feel pampered and having a hair and make up done is a great way to do that. The best thing is, it's all done at the studio, you'll arrive in the morning and get pampered before your session. No need to worry about traffic or wet weather ruining your look on your way to the shoot.

Q: do you photoshop my images?

A: Let’s address one of the elephants in the room - retouching and *photoshopping* photographs. Firstly, you are beautiful exactly how you are! Your final images will have a light and minimal skin smoothing and non-permanent blemish removal. Permanent features for removal like tattoos, scars and moles, can be discussed. However, excessive skin smooth (porcelain doll-like) and body altering will not happen. You are real, you are beautiful, you are strong.

Q: Where is the studio?

A: The studio is located in Beaconsfield - Mackay Queensland. Before your session you'll receive a detailed style and preparation guide to help you get ready, directions to studio, how to get in contact directly and answer any questions you may have.

Q: How do I book you for my boudoir session?

A: Love that question the most! To book me for your boudoir session, schedule a phone consultation - don't want to call, that's fine! Reply on email and let me know what month you are looking to have your session, remembering to allow six weeks for production. Your session date is confirmed with a non-refundable deposit and signed agreement - all online, easy peasy. Then the fun begins - preparing for your session!! Email Alyce@alyceholzy.com anytime.
